A few years ago, after what felt like a never ending season of suffering I asked God to show me how to find the joy, beauty and wonder that I knew was all around me but I just couldn’t see it.

As I sat at the feet of Jesus, He lovingly guided me through a prayer of simply THIS: Thanksgiving and Hope In the midst of Surrender.

⁣Each day I want to be left in awe of the joy and beauty and wonder that exists in my little corner of the world but the reality is that I also live in the tension of chronic pain, grief, and suffering.⁣ So the only way I know how to hold it all is #simplythis.

Does it still hurt? Yes. All the time. And does this prayer help me to open my eyes to find the goodness that is often hard to see?
